People with dementia often find it hard to plan or complete everyday tasks. Individuals may lose track of the steps involved in preparing a meal, placing a telephone call or playing a game.

Those with Alzheimer’s may dress inappropriately, wearing several layers on a warm day or little clothing in the cold. They may show poor judgment, like giving away large sums of money to telemarketers.

I really don`t know if eye problems can be linked to Alzheimer`s. But that`s one scary disease -- no cure once you get it. Prevention`s the best bet.

Are there any specific tests I could tell my doctor to check for Alzheimer`s?

Being colorblind is really hard. There is still no known remedy for that. But i think it is just a minor problem unless you are a designer or a pilot.

That`s pretty difficult. Would it be better for someone who suspects he has Alzheimer`s to get help (i.e. a maid/nurse) or to do things for himself?
